Blades Brown took a one-shot lead into Sunday at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship and didn't win. He didn't need to. Second place made him the youngest Korn Ferry graduate in history.

Silver Miners Have Outrun Silver Since 2020
Since March 2020, silver has returned about 402%. The silver miners returned 445%.
That gap is the leverage our research team focuses on. When silver rises, a producer's net asset value can rise much faster, and share prices tend to follow. It works in both directions, and a mine is only as good as the company running it.
The Ultimate Silver Playbook shows how the team separates the miners worth owning from the rest, and which silver stocks are on its watchlist now. It's free.

KORN FERRY TOUR . TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP
Blades Brown Skipped College. At 19, He Has a PGA Tour Card.
Blades Brown finished solo second at the Korn Ferry Tour Championship on Sunday at The Federal Club in Glen Allen, Va., and locked up his 2027 PGA Tour card. At 19 years and four months old, he is now the youngest player ever to earn a Tour card through the Korn Ferry Tour. That breaks Jason Day's mark by roughly seven months. Day was 19 years and 11 months old when he graduated via the then-Nationwide Tour in 2007.
He came into the week 14th on the points list, with the top 20 earning cards, and left it ninth. A second-round 61 did most of the work, and he finished 18 under. He took a one-shot lead into Sunday, but as the PGA Tour's recap from The Federal Club lays out, Austin Hitt started one back and shot a 5-under 66 in steady rain to win by two, his first Korn Ferry Tour win and his own ticket to 2027.
Brown is a Nashville native, the son of former WNBA player Rhonda Blades, and he skipped college golf to turn pro at 17. In 2026, he made 9 of 11 PGA Tour cuts on sponsor exemptions, including a solo third at the Puerto Rico Open in March and a T14 at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson in May that earned him special temporary membership. On the Korn Ferry Tour, he made 16 of 18 cuts with two seconds, a third, and a T5. That is a full season of grinding, not a lucky run. Learn the name now, because he is going to show up in a Sunday pairing next year.
PGA TOUR . BAYCURRENT CLASSIC
Three Wins in 12 Months. Brennan Isn’t a Fall Story Anymore.
Michael Brennan closed with a 68 at Yokohama Country Club and won the Baycurrent Classic by one at 16 under. That’s two wins in his last five starts, after the Wyndham, and three in 12 months. At some point you stop calling it a hot streak.
He was four back at the turn of the tournament. Jacob Bridgeman and Keith Mitchell both sat at 131 through 36 holes, then both finished one shot short. Brennan’s Saturday 65 flipped it. The $1.44 million is nice. The bigger prize is the 2027 major exemption his Wyndham win didn’t get him.
15 of 15 fairways in the final round. Won by one.
He’s 24, and he’s got a major start banked for next year.
DP WORLD TOUR . LIV GOLF
The European Tour Just Made the Ryder Cup a LIV Problem
The DP World Tour is done letting LIV players have it both ways. CEO Guy Kinnings told BBC Sport the tour won’t give conditional status to anyone who signs with LIV 2.0 for 2027. Applicants must disclose where they plan to play, and the tour will terminate membership if the disclosure proves false. Applications are due Nov. 16.
The pressure point is now the Ryder Cup. You have to be a member to play at Adare Manor next September, which puts Tyrrell Hatton, Tom McKibbin, Adrian Meronk and Thomas Detry on the clock. LIV’s commitment deadline is Oct. 25, and BC Partners’ $300 million depends on signing the players it wants. Rahm and Sergio Garcia are already out. My read: Kinnings timed this to thin LIV’s roster before that money closes.
“Players need to make a choice.”
Oct. 25 for LIV. Nov. 16 for Europe. Adare Manor in 11 months.

LOOKING AHEAD
Butterfield Bermuda Championship at Port Royal Golf Course
The Tour’s next stop is the Butterfield Bermuda Championship at Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda, Oct. 22-25. Port Royal is short by Tour standards, so the wind off the Atlantic does the defending. This late in the fall, the weeks are about cards, and Bermuda is where a player near the bubble can change his whole year.

Takomo Ignis D2: 1.48 Smash for $329
Plugged In Golf’s review got 160 mph ball speed off a 108 mph swing, a 1.48 smash factor, from a driver that costs $329. That’s roughly half what the 2026 heads from TaylorMade, Callaway, Titleist and Ping run. The tradeoffs are real: the feel is flatter than a premium head and mishits curve more. Spin sat around 2,800 rpm, so faster swingers should drop loft. A free 8-gram weight comes in the box. If you’re a 15 handicap shopping on value, hit this one first.
Shopping for a Driver? Hold Your Money.
New drivers are starting to hit the conforming list, and PXG’s Raptor X10K+ just showed up in 9 and 10.5 degrees with heel and back weight ports. MyGolfSpy’s Tony Covey guesses $650, flat with the $649 Lightning Max-10K+. He also expects full Callaway and Cobra lineups, three new Pings and a Titleist GTS1. That’s the case for waiting. Buy a driver in October and you’re paying full price for a head that gets discounted in a few months.

SAS Championship Field Is Set: Els, Harrington, Langer
The SAS Championship field locked this weekend: 78 players at Prestonwood Country Club, Oct. 16-18, for a $2.3 million purse and 345,000 Charles Schwab Cup points. Ernie Els, Padraig Harrington, Bernhard Langer, Vijay Singh, Retief Goosen, Colin Montgomerie, David Duval and Davis Love III are all in. It’s the PGA Tour Champions regular-season finale, so the points race gets settled in Cary. No Monday qualifiers this year. Harrison Frazar and Brandt Jobe top the alternate list.
RGA’s Lighted Range Slips to Late October
The new lighted range and big practice green at Raleigh Golf Association on Tryon Road were supposed to be open by now. Club manager Justin Sary said the wrong poles and netting were delivered, and he’s now targeting late October. Once the right gear arrives, install takes about three days. It’s the last piece of the Kris Spence redo McConnell Golf reportedly put $3.5 million into, and a lit range near NC State will be packed every weeknight this winter.
The Carolinas Net Amateur Is the CGA Event Built for You
